The Gavel

The Gavel is the QUT Law Society’s biannual student magazine, published each May and October. This 2026 editions will become available online through the QUTLS website.

The magazine showcases the voices, creativity, and perspectives of QUT law students, alongside contributions from the wider legal and community sphere. Each edition features a mix of written pieces, reflections, and creative work, giving students a platform to share ideas beyond the classroom.
