Registrations are now open for the 2026 Junior Moot Competition. This competition provides students with the opportunity to develop their legal research, written advocacy, and oral advocacy skills in a supportive and competitive environment.Participants will work in teams to prepare written submissions and present oral arguments before a panel of judges across multiple rounds, culminating in a grand final held in the Supreme Court of Queensland.Whether you are looking to build on your mooting experience or take the next step in your advocacy journey, the Junior Moot is an excellent opportunity to refine your skills and gain practical experience.

The Junior Moot is QUTLS’ most sought-after mooting competition , drawing law students from all years eager to sharpen their advocacy skills and gain invaluable competition experience. More challenging than the First-Year Moot but still accessible to all, the Junior Moot is the perfect launchpad for mastering legal argumentation and preparing for high-level moots.
