To become a member of QUT Law Society (QUTLS), you must purchase a QUTLS L Card. Membership can be purchased annually and is valid up until the first day of classes of Semester 1 of the following year (as per the QUT Academic Calendar). Please note that anyone can become a member of the QUTLS.
Associate Members: Individuals who are QUT Law students who have purchased a L Card.
'QUT Law student' means an individual undertaking a Bachelor of Laws or Master of Laws at QUT.
Ordinary Members: Individuals who are not QUT Law students who have purchased a L Card.
Further details concerning membership, including classes of membership, can be found in our Constitution (particularly rule 5 & 6).

What is a L Card?
The L Card is a student discount card developed by University of Queensland Law Society Inc. in conjunction with Queensland University of Technology Law Society, Griffith University Law Society, and Griffith Law Students' Association.
The L Card entitles card holders to 215 deals at 260 locations - including restaurants, clubs, fashion outlets and entertainment venues.

Buying your L Card
Collect your L Card from the QUTLS Office. We are officially open on Monday and Wednesday from 12-2pm during the teaching period of each semester. However, if you ever see anyone in the office outside of those hours, feel free to knock on the door to say hi and collect your card.
